// the short version

This is a side project run by one person. Terms are short, plain, and intentionally cautious. By using the hosted service you agree to what's below. If anything here is unworkable for you, the open-source binary is MIT-licensed and runs fine on your own hardware.

01
// what you're using

"The Service" means the hosted application at omnomfeeds.com, including the reader UI, the email + Google sign-in, the curated source feed, and (for Pro subscribers) any features marked as Pro in the pricing section of the landing page.

The Service is a personal side project. There is no company behind it, no SLA, no team. Support is best-effort.

02
// accounts
a1You need to sign in to use the hosted Service. Two ways: Google OAuth or a one-time email magic link.
a2You're responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure. If you lose access to your Google account or email, that's also access to oM noM Security Feeds.
a3One person, one account. Sharing accounts is fine in spirit; abuse (script-scraping the API, mass-account creation, etc.) is not.
a4You can delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. See Privacy for what gets deleted and when.
03
// free tier

The free tier is offered as-is and may have rate limits, refresh-interval caps, and history-retention windows. These can change at any time. If they do change in a way that materially reduces what you had access to, you'll see a notice on the landing page.

04
// pro tier ($10/mo)

partial-month refundnone
p1Price: $10 USD per month, charged via Stripe. Founder pricing is locked in for the life of your active subscription - if the price goes up later, current subscribers keep paying the rate they signed up at.
p2Cancel anytime. Cancellation is self-service via the Stripe customer portal (linked from the Config (c) modal in the app). Your Pro access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for.
p3No refunds for partial months. If you cancel mid-period, you keep Pro until period end and aren't refunded.
p4Refunds for charge errors (double charges, charges after cancellation, etc.) are absolutely on the table. Email support, they'll be processed promptly.
p5Pro feature roadmap. Some Pro features ship at launch, others are listed as on the roadmap. The price stays the same as more features land. If a roadmap feature is critical for you, ask before subscribing.
05
// acceptable use

Don't:

u1Scrape the Service or its API in ways that put load on the box (the reader UI's normal use is fine).
u2Try to break into other people's accounts.
u3Use the Service to harass anyone, including the researchers featured in the curated source list.
u4Use the Service to commit a crime.
u5Re-publish content fetched through the Service in a way that misrepresents the original author or removes attribution.

Accounts that abuse the Service may be suspended or deleted without notice. Stripe subscriptions tied to those accounts will be cancelled with no refund for the violation period.

06
// content

The feed is built from public posts on third-party platforms (RSS feeds, Bluesky, Mastodon, Reddit, GitHub Security Advisories). The Service does not own that content and does not warrant its accuracy. Article authors retain everything they originally had.

Anything you generate (bookmarks, notes, watched-account lists) stays yours. You grant the Service the right to store and process it for the purpose of running your account; nothing more.

07
// no warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." No warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uptime, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement. Security-feed reading is not a replacement for actual security monitoring infrastructure.

08
// liability cap
cap (a) paid for pro / 12mogreater of
cap (b) floor$10 USD
indirect / consequentialexcluded

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service's total liability to you, for any cause, is capped at the greater of (a) the total amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) $10 USD.

No liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; lost profits; lost data; or business interruption. Even if the Service knew or should have known such damages were possible.

09
// indemnity

If your use of the Service causes a third party to make a claim against the Service (e.g., you misused fetched content, you scraped someone's feed in violation of their terms), you'll cover the reasonable cost of dealing with that claim.

10
// changes to the service or these terms

The Service can be changed, paused, or shut down at any time. If the Service is shut down entirely, active Pro subscriptions will be cancelled and prorated refunds issued for unused time.

Changes to these Terms will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. If a change is material (e.g., a substantive change to Pro pricing or liability), active subscribers will get an email notice before it takes effect.

11
// governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

12
// prefer to self-host

None of the above binds you if you run the open-source binary on your own hardware. MIT-licensed, no account, no Stripe, your data never leaves your box.
